‘Let’s Talk About It’ is a series of five conversations exploring different facets of the Civil War experience, informed by reading the words written or uttered by powerful voices from the past and present. In part one of the series, we will be comparing entries from Louisa May Alcott’s journal against Geraldine Brooks’ March, a modern novel that follows Little Women father-figure Reverend March, during the war. Discussions will be led by Dr. Randall Fuller, author of From Battlefields Rising: How the Civil War Transformed American Literature and professor at Drury University.
