Book Club: Random Readers

Join us for fun and fellowship as we discuss plots, characters, and styles in various books. Each book club does a different book, and registration is usually required, so we suggest patrons call the individual branches to reserve their spot and check out the upcoming titles.

When the branch shuts down, it’s time for the teens to party it up! Join us for a crazy time full of fun, friends, and food! Registration and a signed permission form are required.

Summer Reading Kick-off Extravaganza!

Tosho-Kon

Can Town

OverDrive: Downloading eBooks for Nooks and Similar Devices

Learn how to use OverDrive to download eBooks from Mid-Continent Public Library’s collection onto your Nook or similar eReader. We will provide a general overview of checking out eBooks through OverDrive including hardware and software requirements, searching for a title, downloading, and transferring to a device. This program is a demonstration only and lasts approximately 90 minutes. Not all eReaders are compatible with OverDrive; please see www.overdrive.com/resources/drc to ensure device compatibility. Summertime Salads

No picnic is complete without a tasty salad. This class will explain the different types of salads. A demonstration of a grilled vegetable salad and a fruit salad will be shown. Handouts explaining different types of lettuces and recipes will be available.
