Storytime for Preschoolers

Where: Riverside at Programming Room

Join staff as they present exciting and unique storytimes involving a variety of tried & true activities. Literacy-rich books and stories are shared to assist in developing pre-reading skills. Other enrichments may include music and movement, fingerplays, puppets and crafts. This is an all-around fun program for preschoolers, ages 3-5 years.

Stable T. Farms Petting Zoo

Beyond the Bowl: Inexpensive Haircuts

Put that bowl away, and get some scissor skills! Do you or your children need a haircut? Save some money and learn easy, inexpensive ways to cut hair at home. Also, some simple hairstyles will be shown and questions answered. Bring a bath towel and one person who needs a haircut, too!

Dig Our Earth-Made Prints

We've dug up some garden vegetables, and we'll use them to make fun prints that can be turned into a bookmark or even a unique cover for a favorite book. Celery, broccoli, garlic, shallots, onions, brussel sprouts, and peppers are good to eat and make beautiful art. Instruction and materials provided by the Kansas City Art Institute's School for Continuing and Professional Studies. Recommended for ages 4 - 12.
