Rabbits Dig Reading! (Rescheduled from 5/23)

When: Thursday, May 30, 2013 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Buckner at Programming Room

If you are going to Dig into Reading @ Your Library, rabbits want to come help race through the tunnels! Watch out, because rabbits nibble at the edges of the book pages as they go, but 8 Silly Rabbits Magic delivers great interactive participation to show kids that the magic of reading is that when you burrow into a good book, you don’t want to leave!

Book Club

When: Monday, June 03, 2013 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Buckner at Programming Room

Join us for fun and fellowship as we discuss plots, characters, and styles in various books. Each book club does a different book, and registration is usually required, so we suggest patrons call the individual branches to reserve their spot and check out the upcoming titles.

Teens at the Library

Learn something new and share it with your crew! Visit the Library at a time just for teens. Make crafts, watch movies, and play games. Call the branch for details.

Summer Film Series

When: Friday, June 07, 2013 - 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: Buckner at Programming Room

Enjoy a classic film in the comfort of the Library and in the company of fellow movie buffs. Over the summer, we’ll watch and discuss three great films by directors Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Capra, and John Ford. Whether you’re a trivia-collecting film fanatic or someone who just likes to catch a flick every now and then, we’ve got something for you! First Fridays in June, July, and August at 2:00 p.m.

Summertime Salads

When: Monday, June 10, 2013 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Buckner at Programming Room

No picnic is complete without a tasty salad. This class will explain the different types of salads. A demonstration of a grilled vegetable salad and a fruit salad will be shown. Handouts explaining different types of lettuces and recipes will be available.

Village Crafters

When: Wednesday, June 12, 2013 - 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Where: Buckner at Programming Room

Join us for a relaxing, uninterrupted hour of crafting. Bring your project to work on, show and tell, and receive encouragement and inspiration. A new idea will be presented when we meet each month. Refreshments provided.

Young Writers' Club @ the Library

Hey kids! Do you like to write? Come join us once a month to write and share with other kids who like to write. We will present a fun and unique idea to write about, and have a special guest from time to time. You will be encouraged to keep a writing journal just for our club. Snacks will be provided.
